Journalist embraces orphans
Western Ugandan radio journalist Betty Mujungu recently did a story about 6 orphans. (see below for posting of her story). I recently followed up with Betty, and the kids, to see how their lives have changed since Betty first told their story to her listeners about two weeks ago.
Report on orphans–Fort Portal
This very moving report was done by a journalist who attended my peace journalism seminar in Fort Portal, Uganda. As a result of this report, these kids are being fed and receiving medical care. The reporter, who I commend not only for the story but for following up to help these kids, is Betty Mujungu.

This is a podcast of program originally broadcast on KCUR, Kansas City's NPR affiliate, about peace journalism. The show, which aired on Aug. 12th, featured Park University students Andria Enns and Keith Taylor, who recently studied abroad in Uganda. Enjoy!!
